Baxter’s Vet Check
Hi Baxter here!
Well, I knew something was up when my mommy took my blankey and my little bed in the car with us yesterday morning.
She did not pack her suitcase thingy, so I knew we were not going on what she calls a vacation.
I found out why when she took me to see this man she calls “the vet” and they put me in a holding crate with a cold metal floor and sides and a gate that locked in the front!
My mommy knows I get very scared when I have to go to the vet so she always carrys me into the back and puts down my little bed and fleece blankey so my “hiney” does not get cold!!
She told me everything would be fine and that the vet tech girls would take very good care of me and I would only have to be there for a few hours.
I tried to jump back into her arms as she put me into the metal crate and hung onto her for dear life!!
She kissed me goodbye and said she would miss me until I was back in her arms again
(ditto mom!)
Well, the man called the “vet” poked me, prodded me, expressed something near my hiney (eweeww!) and gave me two shots in my fur.
I was a big boy and did not cry when those pricks came into my fur.
The vet tech ladies gave me some kisses and hugs and put me back in my metal crate and before I knew it my mommy was there to pick me up and rescue me!!
The man called the vet said I was in EXCELLENT health, which made my mommy feel very good because she said there is nothing she does not do for her little boy!
My mommy got me a new toy for being such a good boy for the vet and I took a very long nap on the couch under my blankey when I got home!!
Your pal,
Baxter

My sweet Princess Mudflap!!
I told my mommy that I have a “date night” with a special doxie girl Princess Mudflat to watch my video, “The Ugly Dachshund” (sorry but I can’t get into watching a German Shepard, even though he comes from the fatherland like us,) and that she needs to give us some alone time.
She said ok, but only paw holding is allowed as I only will be 4 years old on May 20th.
Your brave doxie boy,
Baxter

Baxter I had no doubt that you would pass your annual checkup with flying colors. You are one handsome specimen of a dachshund and as mommy says, NOTHING but the best for Baxter.
You deserve an extra treat for being such a good boy when you got your shots too.
Your date with Mudflat/Earflap sounds like fun!
Enjoy
Love, Auntie Laura

Glad to hear you are in excellent health Baxter. Ya know, you can lick those pretty flappy ears as well as hold paws.
