   Yes he was but honestly Picasso “stole” Lump from a friend. He fell instantly in love with Lump and suggested to the friend that he stay with Picasso.

   There is a book about Lump (means Rascal in German) called “Picasso & Lump: A Dachshund’s Oddysey” by David Douglas Duncan. I keep meaning to get it and learn more about this little guy. Supposedly he turned up in several paintings and in the famous Picasso Doxie line drawing. Truly a muse — like all Dachshunds are really.
