What a week it’s been!

T.G.I.F.!!! It’s been a very busy week for The Doxhoonts! Mommy has had kind of a sad week having to say good bye to two of her favorite colleagues including the Poppa of Brownie’s brother Tiger.

Everyone wanted to send Uncle Al off to his new job in a nice way so The Doxhoonts offered the use of our compound for a nice picnic supper. It was a family party so not only was Uncle Al there but so was Tiger’s mommy and his hooman sister and brother. Best of all, Tiger was here too and we had 4 hours to play and play and play and play.

It was a bittersweet occasion but the dachshunds all had a blast. There was even another doggie there too but she wasn’t nearly as well mannered as we were so her mommy kept her on a leash.

The other news is that Mr. Belvedere has become a regular fixture in our afternoon play sessions. He drags his mommy Raquel here at least 3 times as week. She always thanks mommy for having them here but mommy has assured her that it is as beneficial for US as it is for Belvedere. Freddie just loves to play with him and gets so tuckered out that he sleeps like a log the whole night through.

So, all in all, we are feeling happy/sad but much more happy. Ohhhh, and mommy went into town yesterday to have lunch with her other colleague and on the way there and back she had a 4 doxhoont day. She spotted a wildboar wirehair mini and 3 red longhair minis. Mommy loves doxie spotting in Manhattan because they seem to be everywhere!

Here’s a few pix of our exiciting week! Not sure we’ll get much rest over the weekend, but that’s okay too!

Emilio and the boys - can you guess which one is Brownie and which one is Tiger?

Ummm, I think Brownie is the one that has more face to the camera, because I believe those are his beautiful ears. Oh I hope I am not wrong!! Sounds like a very busy week, I was wondering where you were! Love the pictures!! Especially, Mr Belvedere’s flying ears!
