I´ve been a member of the HDB for a short time, since February I think; and in this time I´ve come to notice that each day, less and less members are posting. Well, I invite all of you to start sharing your thoughts and ideas again, this is, after all, a place that has one thing in common: our love for these adorable creatures called Dachshunds. I hope you´ll leave aside ANY hate mail please, as I am only trying to bring this community closer again. I no longer feel in touch with people, nice people who care about the same things I do, and that´s very sad because in this crazy world, it´s nice to have a little piece of sunshine and for me, this was it! I hope to hear from you more often!!

Thanks Regina! It has been rather sad around here lately, but we are all for trying to make this a happy and fun place once again!! WE LOVE THE HDB!!!!

My dear Miss Regina, you are a gem and I can’t imagine anyone who would even dare send you hate mail. You and your pups are a pleasure and we look forward to your posts.
I personally believe that many events happen between May and June (graduations, weddings, yard work, and yard work and perhaps an occasional free day to do yard work) Also, in the farming communities, ya gotta plant crops and cut hay and birth spring calves and such. We have had an exceptionally rainy, cold spring and this Memorial w/e is the best we have had in 7 weeks.
Please don’t be discouraged as you are a true delight.

This is wonderful place to come and look at all our Beautiful Doxies, and to be able to share with one another! We really do have a great little community here! I am very glad that you Toby & Avi are a part of it!!
I agree with Spanky, its just that time of year, school is almost out, some of us are moving, the weather is warmer and a lot of us are just very busy right now with work.
I know Kendra was trying to get us all back into chat, maybe we could have a time and day for a morning chat as well for us night owls an evening chat!

My name is Cheryl and I have been a member since almost the beginning. I love this site and have made many many good friends. Since September I have been pretty much off the site due to illness. I am finally able to seat and type again and have been coming here everyday for about 2 weeks hoping to find my dear old friends there waiting to talk to them in the chat room. and to also make new friends (there are so many new names)I also wondered where everyone has gone to.No one seems to be in the chat room lately. Speaking to some of my friends I found out that there has been alot of hateful talk amongst the blog. I am so sad to hear this for we had the most wonderful times on here in the past. I hope things get back to where they were and I have the same loving,fun compassionate and supportive place I use to come to. I love you all

I personaly never posted much to begin with, but have always enjoyed reading stories, tales and veiwing pictures almost daily for a while. Then winter came and I found myself working on my car in almost all my free time. Alas, the show season for me has returned and now I find myself returning to the HDB, almost daily again. Thank you HDB and community for being here for me and everyone elses viewing, reading and sharing pleasures!!!

Hey Regina! I agree with Spanky. It gets warm and people not intentionally stay away. I remember it happening last year as well. Lisa and I have tried several times to get people to come into chat, I have even BEGGED. But I know that it is hard for most in the morning. And for me thats the only time i can. I cant get into chat here at work. Just the regular stuff. But i do agree I am ready for eveyone to come in at least once a day and say hey and post and all that great stuff. Thanks for the invite. The Gang and I accept!

Hi Regina,
I agree with a lot of what everyone has said…when I got my mini I searched nights trying to find a website/forum like this. People get busy and this is such a busy time of year. I know me personally have had something to do every weekend since the beginning of April. It’s not until this weekend where I can sit and look at all the forums and wienerful pictures that my fellow owners post. Keep this in mind people always come home…
PS my husband thought I was crazy for doing the doxie boxes but my mini loved it…thanks a bunch herman the german…if you see this pm me and I will send you pics of the kids enjoying the box.

Summer can get the best of online chat and forums…I have my wedding in 2 months and sheesh…i barley have time to brush my teeth in the morning!! LOL. I am trying to post and reply at least a few times a week!! This is the best site EVER!

I know our little family has been super busy lately! First it was finals week and adding Theo. Then in one weekend Daddy turned 23 and graduated. Then we moved and were without internet for over a week. Then it was Mommy’s birthday. And of course we are still trying to unpack and get settled in. We LOVE the HDB! It has been such a blessing for us to have a place to connect with other Doxie people. We would really enjoy chatting with everyone in the chat room. We check it every once in a while, and no one ever seems to be in there. I agree with nanc! I think we should set up a time in the morning and evening for an “organized” chat. That way we all know when everyone else will be in the chat room!
