Hound update —
Thanks for the prayers and kinds words. The poor dear is slightly better today. The vet said he thinks she may have had a light stroke in addition to her arthritis. Gave her some shots, steriods and arthritis meds. She looks like she has aged 5 years in the past 2 days, but seems alert and in reasonable spirits. She tried to follow me up the stairs. Only went up a few stairs and then fell coming down. You know these things are coming, but it still seems like a shock.
And yes, when it rains, it pours. The nephew is in juvenile detention, his brother got a girl pregnant and then broke up. Today I hear my brothers wild teen daughter is pregnant. No wonder i didn’t have kids! I think we may have a bad gene pool and my parents were not great role models - but somebody needed to break the chain of bad parenting - it wasn’t either of them. Sorry for going on.
Continued prayers will help! Thanks, Ruth, Daisy and the gang

Aww Ruth!! I am so sorry to hear about your sweet hound. IT so hard, even when you know its coming, if only we could keep them young forever. I will continue to pray for you and your baby. Comfort and ease of pain for both of you!
As for your family matters, dont apologize for going on, sometimes you just need to vent, and well that what friends are for. I understand the bad gene pool thing, we have a few in ours!! I bet we could both swap some whoppers of stories! If you need anything feel free to pm me. I know how hard it is to be the strong one!! I will send prayers up for them as well, to find the lighted path and to stay on it. Keep us up to date on all ok?

Ruth, i don’t know what to say!! for once Spanky is at a loss for words. I read this over and over again and could not think of anything to post. Prayer must be the answer as we are saying double for you and your loved ones.
