Always keep hydrogen peroxide on hand in case you have to induce vomiting in emergency situations. If caught early enough, voiding the gut can save a life.

I explained this to our local Menard's a few years ago and asked them to please put up a sign for dog owners....something simple like "Warning: toxic to dogs." They said they would, but I went back a few days later, and they never did.

Cocoa hull mulch used to be all the rage here in NYC and I did use it here to beautiful results BUT if has a tendency to get moldy which isn't good for the plants. As a result, it fell out of favor and is now harder to find around here.

Luckily I haven't used it since before Annabel had her puppy days here so it is long decomposed into the soil.

I did a sample patch of the cumbled car tire mulch this Spring to see how it weathers and wears before I have the Museum invest in it big time. Just like cocoa hull mulch it's the latest thing but who knows if it will one day prove problematic.

Thanks so much for the heads-up and thanks Teresa for checking it out on snopes!

According to Snopes.com this is TRUE. Please watch out for your pets. If you live in an apartment or condo, you might want to ask the management what they're using...
