Never let them jump off. This will make sure they get down safely and will help back issues from jumping. Place one of their favorite treats on each step or on the ramp to train them to go up and down only using this method. Baxter only uses his pet stairs to get on and off the bed and all the couches and high furniture in my house. Bette Sherry, I highly recommend pet stairs or a ramp for any bed or couch your doxies decide they want to get onto.

Never let them jump off.
