Did you know????????……..That 17 year cicadas cannot survive on Lemonade, pork rinds, Cheetos and Chicken soup for cats??

   Those PORK RINDS will get you every time - nothing but fried fat. Soooo good tasting but soooo bad for you even IF you are a bug!

   I have only one comment - EEWWWWW!

   Jutta - a cicada is an insect who spends most of its life underground (as a nymph.)

   Every 13-17 years when they become adults, they dig their way out of the ground to find a mate and reproduce. They shed their skins, which end up all over the ground, climb into the trees and the males rub a part of their abdomen together to attract a mate which makes this very loud high pitched humming sound, which can be somewhat annoying.

   Just be lucky if you don’t have them where you live!

    Not sure if I am supposed to be laughing…. but that made me really laugh.

    I think I have the entire family here in my trees. Lovely sound, but seems to be even more of them this year. Very Loud!
