A potential choking hazzard?!?!

Hi everyone, it’s me Chester! Mom says that the way I chew my Nylabone looks dangerous, so I had her make a video to get everyone’s input. I am super cautious and always supervised. I think she is just an overprotective Momma! What do you all think?!?!

It does look kind of small, we usually get the big ones. They do fine with them.

I don’t think you are being over protective … better over than under I always say !!
Kirby chews those small nyla bones the same way they are a favorite around here !! We have never had a problem, but I am still very cautious !!They are supposed to be very good to keep their teeth clean and the D-PAK love them so I just try to really watch them with them !!

By the way that is a super cute video of Chester !!

Thank Goodness for the gag reflex! LOL

Chester is absolutely adorable. Holding it like a little kid. My dog never was interested in those. I gave her a greenie once and she got it the long way in her mouth and started to gag. Luckily I was right there or I think she would have choked. They are slippery when they begin chewing on them.
That was the first and last greenie for Ali.
Err on the side of caution.

Great Video. My three love the nylabone and that is the size I give them. But they usually don’t chew it like Chester does on his back. I think the size of the nylabone is ok at present but as it gets smaller I would be worried about choking. I used to give them rawhides in flat or cylindrical shape. Well when it got to be 1/4 the size and very soft Zoe would try to swallow it whole and twice I had to stick my finger down her throat to get it out. It was really very scary. Now when I leave the house I do not allow them to have any chewys for fear of something happening.
Chester sweetie mommy is not be overprotective, she just loves you so much that she would not forgive herself if something happened to you.

Maddie & Chester only get to chew on nylabones when we are home. I tried to get Chester interested in the bigger ones, but I don’t think he can flip on his back as easy with it! lol I do watch him really close. I don’t think he ever gets it that far into his mouth when he is on his back. And, the nylabones are thrown away when they get the ends worn down, so I don’t have to worry about them getting too small. Thanks for all of your great comments! I love my silly lil Chester Bear! :)

“Pal” dose not give us rawhide as it dose not dijest and can get stusk in them… He lost a dog a long time ago sence then home made bones or nothing and I hate those greeney things and plastick eckkk… Buddy

Speaking of Greenies, we gave Shorty one once and he immediately swallowed it whole! Thank goodness he was fine, but he hasn’t had once since.
