Sad News About Duchess
About 10-15 mins after posting the update about Duchess my son and I decided to play our Wii game. She loves this and thinks it’s all about her. She was acting so spry and her self again so I decided to let her have one of her “babies”, Stuffed teddies, that we had put up since she had started having back problems. Well ,she just got it in her mouth and tried to prance and run and IT happened!! She went down and was paralyzed. She screamed in pain all night long. I medicated with the pain meds that were sent home with us but they didn’t work. I am just so sick and saddened. We took her to the vet as soon as it opened, the report was, she is beyond meds and the surgery may not work. We held our little baby as she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I can’t imagine life ever being the same without her. We are so broken over this.
Please continue to pray for us. It’s like losing a child. I can’t type for crying.

I am so sorry to hear about your baby. I cannot imagine life without my Randolph. He is on week 3 of postop and still waiting to see if there is a glimmer of movement. I will keep you in my prayers and remember not to have quick expectations. He seems so sad. I know your little angel is watching over you from the other side. Ohh Sherry how awful for you and your son. It’s even more difficult given that Duchess had recovered so well.
We’ll say a special prayer for her peacful rest. She may be gone but she will NEVER be forgotten.

Prayers and hugs for you Sherry, so sorry to read about Duchess. We lost our little Pom/Poo, Sky, recently which is why we “adopted” Baron, our “personality plus” Dashshund. You have such beautiful, happy memories of her and now she is waiting for you over the rainbow bridge. Just knowing our Collies, and mixed breeds, and little Sky are there waiting for us is such a comfort. Baron sends his love too! BaronsMom
