Melody (Pepper’s Gang) Needs Your Prayers
I just received word this weekend that my mother in law has just weeks to live. She battled breast cancer 7 years ago only to have it come back in the form of bone cancer. She is 67 years young and the light of my children’s lives. My 11 and 13 year olds are extraordinarily close to their “Grammy” as they were raised up there on the farm.
She has been my rock for 17 years and I am sick over what’s to come. She IS my second mother and I know a lot of women who dislike their mother in law, but I love mine. I have been divorced from her son for 8 years now, but she and my father in law still claim me…..we are that close.
I am going to need serious prayers in the days/weeks to come. I don’t even know how I am going to get through this and it tears me up thinking about what to say to the children. They know she is sick, but they don’t know yet her passing it is imminent. I told their father this morning that he needed to have a sit down talk with them and he agreed. They just lost their beloved Miss Dallas and this is going to be devastating to them.
Death is NEVER easy….even when it is expected.

Oh Melody how awful. It is never good when someone has cancer but to have it happen to someone so close to you and especially your children is just horrible.
I will pray for your Mother-in-Law that she does not suffer physical pain in addition to the great emotional ordeal she is no doubt going through.
Please know too that you and your whole extended family will be in my heart and prayers in the weeks to come.

oh Melody I am sooo sooo sorry. I went through this exact thing my mom just about three years ago. My oldest son was the closest with ehr and had the hardest time. If you need anything please call me. I know what you are going through. I am praying for you, and for your family. Telling the kids was the hardest thing i ever had to do. I am crying for you. Again call me if you need anything at all. Even just someone to babble to.

Hi Melody, I’m so sorry you’re going through all this. I don’t know her situation, but my Mom has breast cancer that spread to the bones and more recently her liver. She’s been fighting it for 10 years and is still going strong. So don’t lose hope, sometimes you don’t know what God’s plan is. We are thinking and praying for you!
