Miss Feisty passed peacefully to the Bridge while in my arms and lap. I am so grateful that her pain is gone, though mine remains. I wanted so badly to spoil her in her last days, but she lost interest in almost all food and stuff. Shortly before I took her in, I thought “what the heck” - yes, I discovered she liked brownies! She is her mother’s daughter! Ate almost a whole one. She is being cremated and I am ordering a lovely wooden urn that will have her picture and my hope for her - “At play in the Fields of the Lord”.
She is the first dog I have lost since my parents killed my Thumper many years ago (horrible story - lets not go there). But I have asked Thump to to welcome his “sister” and show her the ropes. I know he will come through!
Thanks for the prayers and comforting words.
Big hugs, Ruth and the whole pack

You are in my thoughts and I hope you find comfort the same way you hoped I would when my Sweet Miss Dallas passed. Hey…they are free from discomfort and playing together now!!

Ruth, I don’t come on much anymore but I have been reading your post about your beloved Feisty and wanted to tell you how terribly sorry I am for your loss of Fiesty.
There truly is nothing anyone can say that will take your pain away.
At the risk of sounding cliche’ but please know she is happy, pain free and embraced by God!
I know you will never forget her….and she won’t forget you either!
    So sorry about Thumber too!

    Take care and God Bless
    Angelika

I am saddened by your loss of Feisty. I hope the sadness fades quickly, leaving you with the wonderful memories of the life you and Feisty had together.

I have been away on vacation Ruth, but I just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss of Feisty.

I love that you gave her brownies before she left you and also felt your loving arms around her as she passed over the Rainbow Bridge.
