Showing Paisley this weekend
I have shown Paisley once, this was back in the end of May I believe. She did very well, but after the incident with the kid trying to run her over with his skateboard I decided to hold her back a few months. I just wanted her to mature a bit, build up her confidence, and just have fun being a puppy. I took her to her first conformation class tonight, her first in several months, and she did great:)) She walked into class like she owned the place, absolutely no fear, even the instructor of the class said she sure walk and acts like she’s “got attitude”:)) In the last class I brought her to I couldn’t even get her to walk, but I’ve learned a lot since then (using Cesar Milan’s methods), and she walked like a pro. I am eager to show her now, I feel she is ready:)) Everyone keep their fingers crossed that she does well. This is a smaller show, she is the only female, so she needs to beat the males:)) I think she will do well, this conformation class is set up very similar to the shows.
P.S. I shouldn’t even be saying anything yet, but there is a chance, it’s not for sure yet. The breeder I got Paisley from repeated the breeding. There were two pups born, one was the same color as Paisley, and is female, and the breeder is definitely keeping her. The other pup is a male, and the breeder is almost certain he is a choc/cream. Now if he does turn out to be a choc/cream it will be a very hard one to pass up being I’ve wanted a choc/cream for as long as I can remember:)) I would only buy him for a pet. I think once I’m done showing Paisley I will be done showing for awhile. It’s a lot of work getting them to the point of being able to be shown, showing is easy, it’s the training that takes so long. So it’s not for sure yet, they were just born this morning, but will keep everyone posted. Yes I’m nuts, but how can I pass up a choc/cream:)) Bobbi
