I’m so excited, I had to share with anyone who might understand! :] I’ve noticed in the past few days that Jake is really starting to get a hang of things. Subtle as they might be, I’m so proud of my little man! He has taken to his kennel beautifully, we put him in there at night, or when I have to run to the store, etc., and he goes right in and curls up to sleep. He has completely realized that his humans get to go inside and outside before he does, and will sit and wait for us to walk in and out of the door and tell him to come in before he does! AND, before we put food in his bowl, he’ll sit and wait for us to tell him it’s time to eat before he jumps at the food. I never though he’d get the concept of no, but it seems all of a sudden he’s recognizing his name and the word “no!” (This mostly happens when he’s chewing on, well, EVERYTHING he shouldn’t be chewing on). I knew that I could share in these small joys on the hdb without anyone thinking I’m crazy :] Tonight is the first night of obedience class, and we’ve been told he’s going to be the smallest one there, let’s hope this goes okay!
