The lampshade boys are home
My baby brothers are now home, somewhat ‘lighter’ and am very much more subdued than normal. They apparently spent the morning barking and were first on the op list as the noise was driving the staff mad! They have passed all the health tests and tolerated the anaesthetic well. Anton chewed out his IV line….. and so is wearing a lampshade, which is cramping his style. Otto is not having to wear one yet, as he is being good and hasn’t used his chewing talents to cause a problem; Mum has taken a lampshade home for him….. just in case.
Both have eaten a bit and are now fast asleep, poor little chaps. They are getting pain killers, are not allowed out into the garden off the lead, and have to go back to the vet on Saturday for a check up. Stitches come out in 10 days.
Hughie and I will do our best to look after them and make sure that they make a speedy recovery.

Harry you and Hughie take extra special good care of Anton and Otto and I can almost guarantee that there will be extra lashings of chicken and cheese in the offing.
Mum may not let on so as to not make you two older boys jealous, but she is crazy about those two young ones too!
We all know you’re capable of being a solicitous caring big brother so now is the time to show your stripes.

I still think Harry should come and live with us. He and Blixa seem to be two of a kind and would probably get along great. (April could keep them both in line.)
