The Dreaded Doxie Neck hold!

Do any of your dogs do the “neck hold” ? If I am laying down Ludwig will throw his body across my neck while licking my face and I can’t get up! It seems inconcievable that you can’t remove a 15lb dog but something about the angle leaves you unable to escape his clutches untill he decides to release you. I should try to get a picture to post someday.

This happens to me too but usually they stand on my chest. Between the laughing and the gasping for breath there is no way out!

I don’t really get the neck hold… but Maddie is very good at pinning you down with one paw on each shoulder, she then proceeds to lay on you, and attack you with kisses.

Smokey does that, too. Usually he gets on my chest, and sometimes places a paw in a place that really hurts. I’m sure all you gals have had that experience, too.

Jaeger is the champ at this. I am not sure who trained him but he could win awards at it. He manages it when I am laying down or even when I am sitting up. It is truly amazing….
